Art in the Park Columbia MO
The oldest and largest fine arts festival in Mid-Missouri, held around the lake at Columbia’s Stephens Lake Park. Capped at 110 artists, Art in the Park promotes the fact that this is a buying opportunity for art patrons. Art activities, entertainment for children, a food court and roving musicians and magicians augment the main event: the fine arts and crafts. Ample public parking plus free shuttle bus service to the park. Free admission.
Volunteers are essential to guarantee the continued success of the Columbia Art League’s Art in the Park! Let’s face it, we could not do this event without the help of people like you. So gather friends, family, co-workers, strangers or go solo for a couple of hours (or more if you want)!
When you volunteer for Art in the Park, you get a fabulous limited edition t-shirt, a whole lot of love, and, if you’re really lucky and over 18, the chance to drive a golf cart (which we’re reliably informed is THE most fun thing ever!)
Here’s a lovely thank you note we got from one of last year’s artists about how fabulous you all are:
Thank you so much for making Art in the Park one of the best art festivals out there!
“To the volunteers: Wow! All the volunteers I was in contact with were exceptional at their jobs! Everyone was well informed and knew exactly what they needed to do, and didn’t hesitate to fulfill their duties. And when asked a question, or asked for assistance, they always came through! Kudos to all!
I do art shows over most of the Midwest, from as far south as Dallas, Texas, north to Des Moines, Iowa. Never have I been involved with a show that was as well thought out, organized and managed as Art in the Park.” -Jim, previous festival participant
